The High Cost of Low Vision

Vision loss is not always inevitable in older persons. Vision loss − 80% of which is preventable − is currently the leading cause of age-related disability. The International Federation of Aging has issued a new report, The High Cost of Low Vision, which discusses the importance of preserving vision into old age and the economic consequences for vision loss.
