The March Issue is Now Live: Care Coordination, Alternative Medicine, and More

In this month’s issue, look for the next article in our continuing pain in older adults series titled, “Nonpharmacologic, Complementary, and Alternative Interventions for Managing Chronic Pain in Older Adults.” In this article, Drs. Hashefi and Katz explore the evidence supporting the use of exercise, specifically tai chi and yoga, cognitive-behavioral therapies, and acupunctural modalities of managing chronic musculoskeletal pain in older ambulatory adults.

This month we have also published the next article in our Medicare Update series titled “Care Coordination Today: What, Why, Who, Where, and How?” Dr. Stefanacci reviews this emerging model of care and how practitioners can implement these strategies.

Also look for a new column from editor-in-chief Steven Gambert on subclinical hyperthyroidism and advice from the American Geriatrics Society about the five treatments that patients and physicians should question.
